Finally have a quite weekend to reflect on the passing of 2025 and the unfolding of 2026. Hmmmm, Hope? I'll be 50 this year. Hope always feels "around the corner", something I live in but never realize. After raising adult children, the passing of a special needs child, the ending of a home, marriage & really just life of "hard". Hard lessons. Hard losses. Hard love. Hard realities. I think I struggle to hope. Maybe I've reserved it for heaven & have settled for the things I've hoped for may not be realized this side of heaven...maybe its something my children will see. I rest in that portion from Jeremiah 29:11 "that HE has a hope for me" - I'll have to be satisfied with that and trust He can be for me what I can not do myself. Hope.
I am praying that you both, Matt & Lana have fresh wind for your sails on this adventure you are on. That Holy Spirit be at the helm. A season of Preparation...preparing for the calm sailing, the turbulent waves, the heat, wind, vast expanse of water...He promises to pour out His Spirit on all flesh - ready or not here He comes. Make His priority your priority, whatever the cost He will keep your ship afloat.
Thank you for the 24/7 prayer room space - speak up & all the time, effort & energy that goes into what God has put on your hearts.
Wow Corrie this feels so timely and right on. Thank you so much for your vulnerable share and for your encouragement and support—means so very much. We are excited for what God has in store, and glad to have cross over with you when we can!
Thank you, Matt 💕
